Kirsten Hughes & MA GOP slap gun owners in the face.
Republican candidates for office are hoping that Independents, Republicans and Democrat gun owners alike will come out to vote in 2018.
However, why would they when the current Chair of the Republican Party, Kirsten Hughes, shows complete disdain for gun owners?
Massachusetts Gun Rights recently sent, by e-mail and by certified USPS mail, a Questionnaire to both candidates for Massachusetts Republican Party Chairman.
Ms. Hughes did not reply.
In fact, not only did she not reply, she did not even open the email. And worse, she refused to sign the certified mail receipt.
By contrast, her opponent for the Chairmanship Mr. Steven Aylward filled out the questionnaire promptly and returned it. A copy is attached.
Our organization obviously feels strongly about protecting our Second Amendment Rights. So we have advised our membership of this unfortunate incident. We expect that if Ms. Hughes is re-elected as Chair, it will have an adverse impact on gun owner voter turnout in 2018.
As President-elect Trump proved to us, people will only vote in large numbers when they believe that the Party stands for them. Failure to support our Second Amendment Rights does not inspire gun rights voters to get out and vote.
Thank you for your attention.
